Arsenal’s Late Show Keeps European Hopes Alive

Arsenal kept up their hunt to qualify for European football next season with a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Both teams gave palace boss Roy Hodgson a guard of honour prior to kick-off, with this being the 73-year-old’s last home game before leaving the club at the end of the campaign.
The visitors edged in front during the first half, with Nicolas Pepe getting on the end of Kieran Tierney’s cross
Christian Benteke converted another cross to see the hosts level the scores in the second half, with the goal celebrated by the returning home support.
In stoppage time, Martin Odegaard delivered a cross that was eventually turned in by Gabriel Martinelli. Pepe added a third to seal the points moments later.
Arsenal are now just one point behind Tottenham, who occupy the final European qualification place in the Premier League.
