Travellers who paid for evacuation chartered flights to Newark, New Jersey and Toronto, Canada have since July 2020, lamenting their horrible ordeals with 7 Star Global Hangar and Olofin Microfinance Bank over refunds of their money, Worldtopnewsng.com exclusively report.

The travellers in separate messages to Worldtopnewsng.com criticized the Managing Director of 7Star Global, Mr Isaac Malami and MD/CEO Olofin Microfinance, Mr Toyin Olufolahan, for delaying their refunds for more than five months.

Recall, Worldtopnewsng.com in an exclusive report stated how the bank and 7Star allegedly used Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II and AY Comedian names to duped Nigerians on the evacuation flight from Abuja-Toronto-Newark and Newark-Lagos.

Meanwhile, 7star and Olofin MFB had on September 12, 2020, in a communique signed and made available to Worldtopnewsng.com apologised to the travellers for lack of communication and promised to commence payment of refunds to those affected.

“Firstly we want to sincerely apologize for the lack of communication between all parties.”

“We are currently in the process of recovering the cost of the fully paid Newark – Lagos leg of the flight that was abandoned by the airline, notwithstanding, we have been working hard to ensure refunds to all those affected are made nevertheless.”

“We can now affirm that refunds will be made available to all affected beginning from the 19th of October 2020.”

Mr Toyin in an exclusive interview with Worldtopnewsng.com acknowledged the communique and pleaded on working on the refunds for the travellers.

“I have taken a good step in getting part of the funds from WAMOS air, will keep you posted on how things go.”

He continued: “I approached Ooni for N110 million, originally, I wanted to get a loan for them but unfortunately I couldn’t secure that.”

“They have already paid and signed the contract, so we didn’t want them to lose the N110 million that they remitted to WAMOS airline, that was when I went to Ooni to save us and that was the only role Ooni played in the whole arrangement.”

“I was calling Mr Balami to know the situation of things he was not responding to my calls. I sent messages to him on the strength of the report I prepared, no response.”

“It appears they have used the bank as a platform to probably defraud people, that’s the way it’s appearing.”

In his part, Balami, in an interview with Worldtopnewsng.com asserted that those travellers that paid directly into his company account already got their refunds.

“Those who have complained to you never paid money into our account, the two people that paid into our account, I have personally refunded them back their money within seven days of that operation.”

“The other one we are currently discussing and everything is in order, I’m not the payment gateway. I never signed any agreement for the flight, the only thing I did is just to secure them a landing permit from the ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of aviation and NCAA.”

“Yes, we signed the communique with Olofin to get their money back but when you sign something with somebody and the person is not taking full responsibility what do you do?”

When contacted for Ooni Ogunwusi’s reaction to the story, his Personal Assistant, Yera, did not pick calls nor reply WhatsApp messages.
