Wrestling showcase WWE has handed Real Madrid an honorary title for the team’s achievements over the years.
WWE legend Paul ‘Triple H’ Michael Levesque, who has also delivered titles to famous teams and athletes, such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Serena Williams, Boca Juniors, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, congratulated Los Blancos on social media.
“After three consecutive Champions League wins, it’s time for Real Madrid to celebrate like a WWE Champion! Hala Madrid,” wrote the 49-year-old.
Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez received the title on Monday and posed with it for the team’s social media account.
Julen Lopetegui’s team are currently in Miami for their pre-season tour and have already invited the WWE superstars to watch their game against Manchester United and take a break from their preparation for SummerSlam, WWE’s biggest pay-per-view event after WrestleMania.
