Obaseki Tasks New Couple On Love, Sacrifice
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has charged the newly married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Tunde and Victoria Olatunji to build their new home on love and sacrifice, which are essential to sustaining a stable family.
The governor, who attended the church wedding at Foursquare Gospel Church, Benin 1 District Headquarter, Benin City, wished the couple a fruitful marriage.
He admonished the couple to respect each other and abide by the teachings in the bible.
According to him, “I thank God for the lives of the couple and their parents. This is my first time being in this church. The road has been built by the state government and we are happy to be here.”
The officiating pastor, Rev. Lucky Ilaide urged the couple to make God the head of their home.
He enjoined the couple to always create an atmosphere of love, urging the groom to treat his wife like a queen.
He urged the bride to submit to her husband and treat his people as her people.
Dignitaries at the wedding include the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa Esq., and the state’s Accountant General, Julius Anelu.
