Osolana Appears Before Agege LG Legislative Arm, Demands Apology From Legislators

Few days after he was summoned by the Legislative Arm of the Agege Local Government, the Supervising for Works, Sola Osolana, responded through his counsel to the legislators.

Osolana according to his counsel in a letter sighted by worldtopnewsng.com demanded an immediate retraction of the statements for associating him with hoodlums that invaded the Legislative Complex recently.

Recall, worldtopnewsng.com had reported that Osolana was summoned to appear before the legislators to clarify his role in the Legislative Complex invasion.

His counsel, Rotimi Komolafe Esq. of Sobiye Adedoyin & Co. Threatened legal action in the court of law if the retraction was not made within the 7-day ultimatum.

The letter read:

“On the 17th of March, 2021, our client woke up to series of messages and phone calls referring him to publications on different media outlets and an interview granted by the newly elected leader of the Legislative Arm of the Agege LGC stating categorically that our client on the 16th of March, 2021, led hoodlums into the Legislative Arm of the Agege LGC leading to several infractions and unrest witnessed on the said date.”

“It may interest you to know that, Hon Osolana just returned back to Nigeria from the United Kingdom on the 8th of March, 2021 and prior to the incident had not met with any of the members of the Legislative Arm of the LGC.”

“To this extent, we demand an immediate retraction of the statement of the statements and publication made in the several media outlets that published the defamatory statement within 24 hours of the service of this letter and same signed by all the members of the Legislative Arm of the LGC and served on our client in his office and same should be published on all the media outlets where the statement was made also in two major National dailies.”

Worldtopnewsng.com gathered that after consultations with his political leaders, Osolana eventually appeared before the legislators on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

“He later appeared before the legislators on Tuesday. Though, that’s funny because his appearance doesn’t have meaning since his counsel already sent a letter to them,” the source disclosed worldtopnewsng.com.

The source added: “The legislators asked him to take a bow and go while they will get back to him after deliberation on his letter.”
