Nadal Sees Off Djokovic For 10th Rome Title

Rafael Nadal has won the Italian Open for the 10th time in his career following a 7-5, 1-6, 6-3 win over Novak Djokovic in the final in Rome.

This was their sixth meeting in the final of the Rome Masters, with Nadal extending his wins over the Serbian to four.

A wobbly second set saw Djokovic get back into the contest after Nadal had taken the first, only for the Spaniard to seal a convincing win in the third.

With victory in the bag on clay in Rome, Nadal is gearing up to compete in the French Open when it gets underway on May 30.
