Lagos LG Poll: Arc. Kabir, Egunjobi, Likens Agege APC Mega Rally To Concert

Ahead of Saturday’s local governments’ elections in Lagos State, the Honourable Commissioner for Waterfront, Arc. Ahmed Kabir and All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Agege, Alhaji Ganiyu Egunjobi, on Thursday led APC supporters in the council area to the party mega rally, Worldtopnewsng reports.

The duo, other APC chieftains and their supporters at the council area were at the rally cut across Agege federal constituency where they went on a house to house campaign.

Egunjobi and Kabir during the rally also visited the houses of the party leaders, royal fathers, Community Development Associations, artisans, in Agege local government and Orile-Agege local council development area among others to say thank you for their support.

In his reaction after the mega rally, the State Commissioner for Waterfront said: “We all saw what happened today, it’s so sad that those that are the custodian of our culture and heritage engage themselves in politics. I’m highly disappointed but we all thank God for our party rally,” Kabiru stated.

He added that: “We have walked the nooks and crannies of Agege and Orile-Agege, come Saturday, July 24th, our party, the progressives will clear all the seats in Agege, you have heard what Hausa communities leader in Agege said, we are pleased with APC at local, state and at the federal level,” Kabir surmised.

In an interview with Worldtopnewsng, Egunjobi who was in the rally alongside his running mate, Hon. Gbenga Abiola and the seven APC Councillorship candidates also boast of victory ahead of the poll. “They know we are very much on ground, we are APC, we are up to the task. You can see our rally, you can’t differentiate it from a concert,” Egunjobi said.
