Nike Lose Simone Biles As She Signs With Women’s Wear Brand

Simone Biles has ended her six-year association with Nike after signing with Athleta.

The four-time gold medallist in gymnastics at the Olympics has teamed up with Athleta, a brand focused on designing sports clothes for women.

“I share with Athleta their passion to help girls grow,” she said.

“They’re committed to diversity and inclusion, which was really important for me to see in a partner.

“They show women and girls of all ages, sizes, abilities, races, and backgrounds and design their products that way too.”

Biles’ signing with Athleta means that Nike have now lost one of their key ambassadors in women’s sport.
