On what is his party’s chance of winning the election, Shaibu said: “You know campaigns stopped on Thursday. But obviously I’m in for the election to win and that is what I see from my unit”.

On the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) preparation for the election, the Deputy Governor said: “As you can see, I did my accreditation and voted within two minutes, so it’s better than the previous elections.”

“In this unit it’s fine but I have not gathered evidence from others, but apart from one particular place in Orhionmwon local government which they said there was a delay and I was also been told that the parties has signed the agreement to maintain peace there. Aside from that place have not gotten any negative report yet.”

“As far as here is concern, I pray that what I see here is what is happening all over the state. If that’s what’s happening all over the state then the fear of violence is already eluded.”
