COVID-19: UK Govt Publishes Christmas Guidance

Spread the love

The United Kingdom government has issued new Christmas advice which states Santa’s grottos will be allowed to open in all tiers if they are in venues that can open – and social distancing must be in place.

Door-to-door carol singing will also be allowed, but those performing or rehearsing have been urged to do so in a professional capacity or as part of a supervised activity for under 18s.

From Wednesday, people in all tiers can attend places of worship, but the rules on who you can meet with whilst at places of worship will depend on your tier.

Travel is permitted to other parts of the country between 23 and 27 December to meet with other households in your Christmas bubble.

Visiting shops and Christmas markets depends on your tier – the rules may differ for indoor shops and open air shops or Christmas tree markets.
