Tinubu Criticises Obasanjo, Says He Should Have Discussed With Buhari Privately
National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu, has criticised former President Olusegun Obasanjo over the special statement he wrote in which he scored the present government low in its performance so far.
Tinubu who was displeased with the manner of approach by the former President said he ought to have addressed the issues privately with President Buhari and therefore, accused him of playing politics.
Tinubu made this known on Friday while addressing journalists in Owerri the Imo state capital, while on his way to the final burial of former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme.
While it appears that the statement reflects certain levels of consensus within society, Nigerians are patiently waiting to see if the President will eventually heed the advice of the former president or seek re-election.
On the other hand, with the official launch of the Coalition for Nigeria movement which Obasanjo says will not be a political party, many are also eager to see how much influence its activities will have on the state of the polity.
