Tambuwal, State PDP Bigwigs, Others Bury Party Stalwart
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Saturday witnessed the funeral prayer of late Hajiya Binta Sahabi Yabo, the former Zonal Women Leader of state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) representing the southern zone.
The funeral prayer was held at the deceased’s residence and led by the deputy Imam of the Izala Jumu’at mosque in Yabo town, Mallam Ismaila Attahiru.
The deceased, aged 53, died yesterday in her matrimonial home as a result of brief illness.
She was survived by her aged mother, husband and three chidren.
The governor after the funeral condoled her family and prayed to Allah to grant her Aljannatul Firdaus. He also prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
A special prayer led by the Chief Imam of Yabo Jumu’at Mosque, Sheikh Imam Lema Faruk, was offered by a group of Ulama for repose soul of the soul of the deceased .
Among the personalities that attended the funeral were Senator Abdullahi Danbaba, the State PDP chairman, Alhaji Bello Aliyu Goronyo and his team, some government functionaries, the District Heads of Yabo and Kilgori, Alhaji Muhammad Maiturare and Dr Muhammad Jabbi Kilgori, as well as a former House of Representative member, Hon. Aminu Shehu Shagari.
