RB Leipzig Lose At Dortmund To Hand Bayern Munich The Bundesliga Title

Spread the love

Bayern Munich were handed their ninth consecutive Bundesliga title on Saturday as Borussia Dortmund beat RB Leipzig 3-2 at Signal Iduna Park.

The Bavarians went on to claim a comprehensive 6-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach themselves, with Robert Lewandowski bagging a hat-trick, but the title had already been decided before they even set foot on the pitch to warm up.

Marco Reus put Dortmund ahead early on before Lukas Klostermann levelled for Leipzig, leaving the sides on terms at the break.

Jadon Sancho got himself on the scoresheet early in the second half, only for Spain international Dani Olmo to again claw the visitors back level.

There was still time for Sancho to score again though, netting in the 87th minute to hand Bayern the title.

Dortmund moved into fourth with the win, though Eintracht Frankfurt can leapfrog them again should they beat Mainz on Sunday.
