NASRDA: Telemedicine Is Taking Off In The Age Of The COVID-19 Pandemic

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Space Research & Development Agency is bracing to face a huge wave of new patients.

 

What can we do to ease the burden on our clinics and hospitals? The Agency demonstrates her Telemedicine Mobile Clinic as one of the options to combating the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria.

 

The Telemedicine Mobile Clinic will cover virtual checkups with your doctor from the safety of your home.

 

Speaking during the Demonstration of the Project today at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, the minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu lauded the agency’s ingenuity and rapid response in coming up with the intervention to help the nation in the battle against the deadly virus.

 

He praised their idea, saying “this is bringing the Hospital closer to the people”, The Ag. Director General Mr. Jonathan Angulu in his welcoming address says, “The Agency wishes to contribute her own quota in this Direction

 

“The Provost, Institute of Space Science and Engineering (Isse) Dr. Olufemi Agboola who has been in the forefront in making the project a reality, during an interview with correspondence says… “On the frontlines of the coronavirus, crisis providers are tapping into digital mechanisms to communicate with patients and track the spread of the disease and NASRDA is not an exception”
