Zidane Is A Wanted Coach Across Europe

Spread the love

After a successful and trophy-laden few years in the Real Madrid dugout, Zinedine Zidane’s tenure at the club didn’t finish in the way he’d have liked. The Frenchman has now been away from the game for five months and is attracting interest from several top clubs around Europe.

In his time away from the limelight Zidane has been resting, spending time with his children and returning to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu to watch his beloved Real Madrid. He has also taken part in promotional campaigns for padel.

Manchester United have been mentioned as a possible destination for Zidane in the near future, while voices in France say he could one day take over at Paris Saint-Germain or the French national side.

The English press have also touted him as a potential target for the newly-rich Newcastle United following their Saudi Arabian takeover in recent weeks.

Zidane as an option to replace Solskjaer

Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aren’t enjoying the best run of form at the moment and Cristiano Ronaldo’s late goal against Atalanta in the Champions League is seen by many to have saved his head coach’s job.

Zidane is seen as one of the preferred options as a replacement for the Norwegian, should he be given his marching orders.

Zidane’s previous break from the game

In his last stint away from football, Zidane was out of the game for nine months before receiving a call from Florentino Perez to come back to Real Madrid.

Although he seems in no rush to get back into the game at the moment, he certainly won’t be lacking options if he does decide to make a return.
