PSG Close In On Extraordinary 50-game Unbeaten Home Run

Any side heading to Parc des Princes has plenty to fear as Paris Saint-Germain back up their millions with a 47-game unbeaten run in their own backyard.

With 28 victories from their 33 games of 2017/18 thus far, all three defeats have come on the road to continue an incredible run at home that stretches back to a March 2016 defeat to Monaco.

During the 47 game streak, 154 goals have been scored with just eight matches drawn and 23 conceded to show that PSG are almost as good in defence as they are in attack.

Next up are Montpellier as the Ligue 1 leaders look to extend their winning run in the capital to 16 games before encounters with Strasbourg and Marseille present a chance to see out their unbeaten half century.

After that, Real Madrid arrive for a Champions League last-16 second leg and PSG haven’t felt defeat at home in Europe since Barcelona beat them 3-1 in April 2015, accruing a 15-game spell without losing in that particular competition.

Naturally, this spell is the best in club history as the 39 games tallied up between December 1992 and January 1995 was brushed aside. It is also the best in Europe at this moment in time, where Manchester City’s 33-game streak at the Etihad Stadium is the closest follower.

This means that current coach Unai Emery can boast an entirely unbeaten start to life at Parc des Princes. The Spaniard inherited Laurent Blanc’s five games unbeaten and has gone on to add 34 wins and eight draws of his own to send shockwaves through France and across the continent.
