Osun APC Governorship Aspirant, Afolabi Lawal Promises Better Life, Industrialization
A top contender for the forthcoming governorship election in State of Osun under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Ayoade Afolabi Lawal has promised better life and industrialization for the people of the state.
Engr. Lawal who is a native of Iwo town in an exclusive interview with worldtopnewsng.com, stressed on using Agro Allied initiatives to enhance the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and furthermore creating job for youths in the state.
The young brilliant Chemical Engineer explained further to worldtopnewsng.com that he will also leverage on Culture and Tourism to boost economic growth of the state.
“My focus is industrialization and it will direct in other sector like Agriculture, Education, Security, Health and others positively. Building of Agro Allied companies to increase the Gross Domestic Product and enable people to get 2-square meal if not 3-square. Redefining the youths by setting up meaningful employment through the Agro Allied as it is very wide for the youth so as to put a stop to vices and menace in the state is also my priority.”
“We will focus on production and this is the reason why we are going to bring producing companies to boost the Internal Generated Revenue of Osun State.”
On his mission for succeeding the incumbent Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Engr. Lawal said he have solid enthusiasm for development “I am optimistic that the challenges in Osun State are temporarily as most people don’t look at future but only what they want to benefit at the present” he said.
When asked on his mission on education, the young APC chieftain stated that when he assume office he will be teaching basic subjects once in a week in schools and also to organize trainings for the teachers in the state.
Commending Aregbesola administration on job well-done in the last eight years he said the state has witnessed massive improvement on infrastructural development, education, security, job creation among others “if we are to be realistic with ourselves, our state has witnessed massive development during Ogbeni’s two terms in office. Am optimistic we are to see more before the end of his tenure,” Lawal noted.
The governorship election in Osun is scheduled for September 22nd has being announced by the newly appointed Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje.
