Chieftain of the Social Democrats Party (SDP) in Delta State Engr. Kessington Amiwero who is also the party House of Assembly Candidate for Warri North State constituency in the just concluded 2019 general elections has led thousands of his supporters to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in a carnival-like ceremony earlier in the month.

Engr. Kessington who described his defection and that of his loyalists to the Peoples Democratic party as the best decision due to the performance and developmental initiative of the incumbent Governor of the State Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa. In his words, “We joined politics to make a difference but the man on the stage is already fulfilling our aspirations for the State. It is only natural to encourage him to do better by joining hands to fast track his development plans for all of us”.

He maintained that Dr. Okowa has already exceeded expectations of Deltans and there is an urgent need to support and encourage a working and performing administration for the overall development of the State. Dr. Okowa came up with Smart Agenda and he has kept faith with his vow to the people of the state in building a stronger Delta state.

Delta state is a PDP oriented state with great minds representing our State and various LGAs, its only paramount that I work with them so as to input my own quota in moving Delta state to that safe Haven we have all rightly envisaged.

Engr.Kessington however, commended the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party for their unity of purpose in moving the party to a greater heights.

He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the state deputy governor Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, Rt.hon.Thomas Ereyitomi, Member Federal House of representatives, Warri Federal Constituency, Barr.Kingsley Esiso, PDP  chairman Delta State.

Hon Michael Diden, Dr.Godwin Ebosa, Amb Aduge Okorodudu chairman Warri North LGC, Dr.Issac Wilkie and others for their show of love to him and promise to make the party proud.
