Ojodu APC Primary Marred By Multiple Irregularities, Violence – Group
Concern Party Members alleged All Progressives Congress (APC) primary in Ojodu Local Council Development Area, held yesterday was marred by multiple irregularities, distortion and violence, Worldtopnewsng reports.
According to a statement signed and made available to Worldtopnewsng by the group coordinator, Samson Aruwaji, declared that election did not hold in six wards of the council.

The group stated further that the election was cancelled due to uncontrollable protest that simultaneously disrupted the exercise across all six wards of the council.
The statement read:
As scheduled by the State Electoral Committee of our great part – All Progressives Congress Party (APC) in Lagos State in conformity with the guidelines of the Lagos State Independence Electoral Commission (LASIEC), yesterday, May 29, 2021, was the appointed day for primaries across all 57 Local Councils in Lagos State including Ojodu LCDA.
The only exception was that Ojodu LCDA was one of the few LGAs where the party primary elections did not hold due to an attempt to cheat other candidates involved in the primaries that have no resources to bribe the officials posted by the party to conduct the primary election.
After the concerned party members realised the attempted broad daylight electoral robbery, they demanded proper accreditation of voters but what followed was that the party primary in Ojodu LCDA was marred and characterised with the uncontrollable protest that simultaneously disrupted the exercise across all six wards of the council.
HOW IT ALL HAPPENED: THE TRUTH AS IT STANDS
The actual cause of the chaotic out turn of events across all the six polling centres as reported by our agents was that the influx of strange faces unknown to active party members who are residents of Ojodu LCDA was obviously on the rise across the six wards of the council as well laden mini-buses having said to be donated by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke (Korope Faleke) to his cronies delivered in batches non-residents nor citizens of Ojodu LCDA who arrived at the polling stations hours before the arrival of the officials.
As Concerned Party Members, we thought that this act of cheat practised during their campaigns will end at that point, instead, it was eventually repeated at the election ground yesterday.

Hence, we concerned members of the party choose to demand for proper accreditation of voters as due before voting commences. As we were very sure that by such thorough arrangements as provided by our great party, the Hon. James Abiodun Faleke hired voters will not be permitted to participate in the exercise. It is a fact that majority of voters in Ojodu LCDA do not fall on his side neither do they want any of his anointed candidates.
The cause of the civil revolt by party members was because adulterated duplicates of the APC party register was provided at all polling centres; hence the counteraction against such evil act fomented thus jeopardizing the initially peaceful process.
Although, no life was reportedly lost_ nor injuries recorded but the harassment of party members was at its peak yesterday. Our agents reported that in Ward A, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira who is the incumbent Supervisory Councillor for Youths and Sports of Ojodu LCDA now aspiring to represent his ward as the next councillor was utterly ridiculed, harassed and beaten by thugs belonging to the faction of Hon. Funmilayo Layeni the chairmanship candidate sponsored by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke because she is from the same ward as Apatira. We say NO TO THIS MISDEMEANOR.
It is quite lugubrious that these people used the police force to arrest and humiliate notable members of the party who demanded for the identity of the people they brought from neighbouring state as far as Sango Ota, Ifo, Agbado in Ogun State. We were sure because many of these people asked our members questions that obviously indicates that they are strangers hired to partake in the voting exercise in an attempt to rig.

In a bid to avert bloodshed possible by the broad daylight electoral robbery, concerned party members only demanded for proper accreditation exercise which forced all electoral officials to flee except for Ward A where the perpetrators of this hideous act sent all party members with an opposing view away from the electoral venue and went ahead to conduct an election solely for their candidates with electoral officials who were under durex.
We the Concerned Party Members of the All Progressives Congress Party in Ojodu LCDA by this hereby seize this medium to appeal to the appropriate authorities within our party to kindly wade into this matter by punishing the erring side, allow justice to prevail and provide succour to faithful members who were disenfranchised of their rights to vote yesterday. There are audio-visual shreds of evidence of our claims now going viral on social media.
