Nigeria Reports More Than 2,600 New Cases, 24 Deaths Within 72 Hours
The Nigerian government has reported 1,204 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, according to a figure by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), worldtopnewsng.com can confirm.
It marked the eighth time the country’s daily new cases reached four figures — and is the third-highest single-day jump in infections since the pandemic began.

The NCDC also reported seven more Coronavirus-related deaths on Monday.
Thus, it comes after the country reported 24 deaths and more than 2,600 new cases within 72 hours for the first time. Meanwhile, worldtopnewsng.com warn that the surge in infections could continue to worsen as winter arrives.

The NCDC has now reported a total of 91,351 confirmed cases and 1,318 related deaths while 75,699 recovered from the deadly virus.
