My Father Is Fine, He Is No Longer In Pain and Will Soon Return Home, Says Pele’s Daughter
Pele’s daughter, Kely do Nascimiento, took to social media on Monday to confirm that her father is in good health after undergoing surgery to remove a suspected colon tumour.
Kely do Nascimiento published a screenshot of her videocall with Pele and expressed her gratitude to all those who offered their support through messages during these days.
“I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the messages of support that you have sent me,” Pele’s daughter wrote on Instagram.
“I have not had the opportunity to respond to them, but I read them and I feel your support.
“My father is fine after the surgery, he has no pain and is in a good mood (annoyed because he can only eat gelatine food, but he will get past it).
“In a day or two he will be in a normal room and then he will return home.
“He is strong and stubborn. With the support and care of the brilliant medical staff and all the energy that the world is sending him, he will overcome this.”
