Mike Tyson Confirms Historic Rematch With Lewis
Mike Tyson has surprised the boxing world by announcing a rematch, but not with Evander Holyfield. Instead, it is with Lennox Lewis.
The American had been expected to face old foe Holyfield in May. After fears that fight was off, it certainly seems to be on the back burner for now.
Meanwhile, Tyson has revealed he will be fighting another old rival in Lewis this year.
“I’m going to fight Lennox Lewis… in September!” Tyson told a reporter from TMZ.
Lewis, a year older at 55 years of age, has yet to comment on the rematch with the man he knocked out back in 2002.
In the build-up to that fight, Tyson infamously said he wanted to eat Lewis’ children, not knowing that he didn’t have any at the time.
Further details remain unknown, but it seems that Tyson will be involved in at least one historic rematch in the near future.
