LG Poll: David Odunmbaku Reveals Plan For Ojodu LCDA

Ahead of the local governments’ elections scheduled to hold on July 24, the leading chairmanship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has revealed that he will build skill acquisition centres across the areas if elected, worldtopnewsng reports.
Odunmbaku made this promise in an interview with worldtopnewsng in Lagos on Saturday, pointing out that the centres would be used to train youths and women in various trades.
“We have lots on our manifesto to offer the people of Ojodu LCDA. One of my plans is to build skill acquisition centres across the areas, at the centres we’ll train youths and women on computer literacy, automobile repairs, phone repairing, fashion design, soap making, cake baking and costume and make-up.

“It is a pity that there is “huge” parading of unemployment in many parts of the world today especially in Nigeria. With this skills acquisition programmes, we’ll reduce unemployment to the barest minimum.”
He emphasized that professionals will be employed in various field to impact their knowledge.
“We’ll employ professionals in various field. When we employ them as trainers, we have reduced employment, while those who will graduate from our programmes will sure employ one or two or more people when they graduate and set up their businesses too”
The Secretary to the Local Government also promised to rejuvenate and provide basic learning facilities for primary schools if elected.

“To get things done, and for the pupils to meet up with their counterparts in other parts of the world. Personally, will time to time monitor training and retraining of the teachers, this will enable them to impact knowledge in a modern way.”
Odunmbaku also enjoined party supporters to shun violence and work towards the victory of the party in the election.
