Leicester City Beat Manchester United At Old Trafford
Leicester may have beaten Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening, but the big winners of the night were Manchester City who are officially Premier League champions.
With United unable to take three points from the game, Pep Gurdiola’s men are now 10 points clear of their city rivals with three games to play, and thus too far ahead to be caught.
Luke Thomas gave Leicester the lead just 10 minutes in with a brilliant volley into the top corner, but Mason Greenwood equalised five minutes later.
Leicester and Manchester City’s unlikely hero was Caglar Soyuncu who headed in the winner on 66 minutes as the away side bagged their first win at Old Trafford since 1998.
The result also gives Leicester a major boost as they look to secure Champions League football next season, with the Foxes now third in the Premier League table, eight points clear of fifth-placed West Ham.
