Lagos LG Poll: Essien, Akogun Win Lagos Mainland, Ikosi-Ejirin Chairmanship Seats

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidates for Lagos Mainland Local Government and Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area winners of the July 24th election, Worldtopnewsng reports.

According to the result released by LASIEC, Mrs Omolola Essien of Lagos Mainland won the election with 8,428 votes, her closest rival, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 1,253 while Accord Party (A) and Youth Party (YP) polled 89 and 35 respectively leaving the total votes as 9805.

Essien in her after she was declared winner of the election says she will continue the good works she has started in Lagos Mainland.

In Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA, APC candidate, Akogun Wale Raji was declared winner by the election umpire.
