Lagos Govt To Partner CAPDAN On Poverty Alleviation

Lagos State government to partner Computer and Allied Products Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN) on poverty alleviation.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Lola Akande made this known when CAPDAN executives led by its National President, Comrade Ahmed Adeniyi Ojikutu paid her a courtesy visit on Thursday, 6th April, 2017 in Alausa.
In her welcome address, Akande communicated her eagerness to work together with CAPDAN to help the body destroy destitution “I am glad to realize that computer village is not about purchasing and offering alone but rather likewise included in giving out skills acquisition training to its teaming members in the fields of technology”.
She emphasized the readiness of her ministry to partner with the association in training and skills acquisition through all 17 well equipped vocational training centres across the state.
In his reaction, Ojikutu communicated his significant appreciation to the Commissioner for extending her hands of partnership to the association.
He clarified the significance of the strategic partnership of the association and government in making more entrepreneurs in the state “in this season of economic recession, individuals are in dare need of skills acquisition to make them independent and employable”, Ojikutu said.
He added that “computer village is the largest employer of youth in any private sector in the country, inferable from the yearly turn out of graduates in our universities and higher institutions with no expectation of getting a beneficial employment.
