Kings Sports Int’l Reels Out Plans For Obasa Games 2024
On October 25, 2024, Kings Sports International, the organizer of the Obasa Games 2024, held a press conference to outline the details of this year’s event.
The Chairman, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Vinod Obasa shared insightful information regarding the various competitions planned for this year’s event.
This edition of the Obasa Games will feature diverse sporting events including football, boxing, table tennis, scrabble, and chess.
The football tournament is set to include 32 teams drawn from the Lagos West Senatorial District, while the other competitions will accommodate a total of 64 male and female participants.
The press conference took place at the Agege Local Government secretariat, where Alhaji Obasa emphasized the game’s structure.
The football matches will be held across two venues in Agege: Anwarul Islam Model College on Oniwaya Road and Dairy Farm Secondary School, with the semi-finals and final scheduled at the Teachers Training College (TTC) in Ifako Ijaiye local government area December 14, 2024.
Other sports events, including boxing, table tennis, scrabble, and chess, will happen at the Agege Stadium indoor sports hall from December 4 to December 6, 2024.
Kings Sports International also announced enticing prize distributions for the winners:

In total, N12 million in prizes will be awarded to winners across all categories.
The primary goal of the Obasa Games is to nurture grassroots sports talent, providing top performers the chance to be scouted by international talent seekers.
Recall that Kings Sports International organized its inaugural edition of the Obasa Games last year during November and December, identified by the title OBASA CUP 2023.
