More facts emerged in the wee hours of Thursday on why the former Agege Local Government Legislative Council leader, Kola Anigbajumo, was impeached by 5 out of 7 legislators (councillor).

Recall, Worldtopnewsng.com had reported that the leader and majority leader were impeached and real reasons why Anigbajumo was impeached.

Sources who are familiar with the incident told worldtopnewsng.com that aside from the leaked memo on budget retreat sighted by the legislators (Councillors) among other allegations, the embattled former leader also requested for N10 million from the council Chairman, Mr Ganiyu Egunjobi, before he could pass the budget.

“Aside from the allegations submitted against him (Anigbajumo) by the councillors, I can tell you for free that he also requested for N10 million from Chairman before he will pass the budget, that’s awful,” one of the sources stated.

Another source added that: “His many sins beyond leaked memo, the N10 million he requested you asked me for confirmation. Anigbajumo was running the House like a military dictator before he was impeached.”

Investigation by Worldtopnewsng.com indicated that the Chairman presented the said budget to the council legislators on Monday, February 8, 2021.

When contacted, Anigbajumo explained that the allegations are baseless when there’s no written evidence. “Did those who say this have written evidence? Ever since I assumed office as the leader in 2017, I never took a kobo throughout my time as leader, whoever said that should show you the evidence,” Anigbajumo defended himself.
