Documents on agents’ fees published by England’s Football Association (FA) have revealed the full details of James Rodriguez’s transfer from Real Madrid to Everton in September.

The FA have made public every transaction made by any of England’s professional football clubs towards intermediaries from February 2020 to February 2021.

The documents include the agents involved in James’s move to Goodison Park, which reveal both Jorge Mendes and Kia Joorabchian took part in negotiations.

Mendes, on behalf of his Gestifute International Limited agency, represented James and Everton in the negotiations, while Joorabchian was involved in the agreement reached between Everton and Real Madrid.

At the time, it was thought that Everton had paid 25 million euros for James, who was in the final year of his contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

However, it was later revealed that Real Madrid did not receive a transfer fee for the Colombian, who arrived on Merseyside on a free.
