Delta LG polls: Deacon Christian Iteire Bows To Isoko North’s Pressure To Seek 2nd Term Re-election As Chairman

The Immediate past executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council Deacon Christian Iteire has thanked the people of Isoko North local government for their warm solidarity and passionate call for him to return and serve them saying their voice is loud and clear enough and he will yield to their call to consolidate on his first term achievements.

It would be recalled that the people of Isoko North had on various occasions called on him to seek re-election, describing him as a man that the fear of God moderates his actions by subjecting himself to public service without blemishes. Isoko North Party leaders further described him as a unifying figure in Isoko North who is loved by all for his passion for building on the ideals of one United Isoko North irrespective of political and religious affiliations.

A close source revealed to our reporter that the residence of the immediate past Council Chairman of Isoko North is constantly crowded by various solidarity groups and political associates who are mountain pressure for him to continue his humanitarian service in the council ahead of the forthcoming local government election urging him to immediately join the race.

When contacted, “Hon. Christian Iteire confirmed that he has been under pressure to come out but “we have to abide by the directive of the Governor. “Yes, my people want me to come back as Chairman because we have given them a reason to have faith in government through economic support and by taking development to those that needed it the most.”

“The testimony of my performance in office as Chairman is evident in the huge crowd all around me whenever I move around the environment. I feel like crying when I see my people appreciating my little effort in making life worth living for them. For me, I have only done for them what I ought to do, and if given a second chance I will exceed expectations by laying a developmental benchmark in Isoko North that will be a reference point for local government administration in the council.”

On the secrets behind his performance and simplicity as a Chairman, Deacon Iteire said he has never been a man of inordinate ambition but a preacher of moderation. “I was elected to fast-track government presence in my environment and today I am happy we have not performed below expectations. The people are happy and my political leaders were not disappointed for sending me and as a sent servant, I am willing and still ready to serve my people to the best of my abilities.”

“The wisdom of God was at work through us in providing effective leadership and by his grace, am confident that my second coming as Chairman of Isoko North will be historic in terms of more human capital and infrastructural development. We have done much but there are still other unfinished projects we have to complete to make life worth living for our people. As a tested and trusted hand we will provide the needed leadership with all humility and fear of God” he assured.
