BREAKING: DSS Reportedly Takes Over Lagos Assembly Amid Obasa’s Removal; Seals Speaker, Deputy Speaker’s Offices

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly taken custody of the Lagos State House of Assembly complex following the alleged illegal removal of Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa as Speaker of the House.
According to sources who spoke to Worldtopnewsng on the condition of anonymity, the secret police have been present at the assembly premises since the weekend.
Obasa was reportedly removed on January 13th by dissatisfied lawmakers, and his deputy, Mojisola Meranda, was appointed as his replacement.
Sources familiar with the situation indicated that the Presidency had ordered Obasa’s reinstatement.
However, on the eve of this decision, the president is not happy with the party leadership in the state, known as the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and lawmakers who carried out the operation he linked to the ‘Coup’, before he departed on a foreign trip.
As of the time of this report, DSS officials are still within the assembly complex.
Sources revealed that the DSS sealed the Speaker and Deputy Speaker’s offices.
