The marriage between billionaire oil magnate and philanthropist, Igho Charles Sanomi, and his wife, Eghonghon, has crashed.
Eghonghon has moved out of her matrimonial home with the four children from the union, and has even filed for a divorce. Predictably, Sanomi, whose world revolves around his family, is distraught and devastated by this downward turn of event. Never would he, or even, Eghonghon, have thought that the love they had been nurturing from their college days, would come to such an abrupt end.
Sources disclosed to The ELITES that the marriage between Sanomi and Eghonghon crashed as a result of myriad of problems, which was completely beyond the couple’s control. Somehow, the news of their crashed marriage was only known to just the couple’s families and close friends. Tragically too, the blame for the Sanomis’ crashed union, is being leveled on Akanimo Udofia, the billionaire businessman. The ELITES gathered that Udofia, who is fondly called AK47, by his admirers, is married to Yemyem Adoghe, the elder sister of Eghonghon. And AK47, according to sources, bags the reputation of being a notoriously ladies’ man, always got entangled with high-calibered society ladies. Some of the women who had allegedly, been romantically linked with him are; Temi, Marifa, Bonang and a host of others.
Somehow, Yemyem always got to hear of her husband’s regular trysts with women. In return, she would reportedly confront him and give him an earful. Sources disclosed to Celebrityfile that AK47 always wriggled himself out of the web of allegations. One method, which he employed in exonerating himself was reeling out Sanomi’s litany of escapades and affairs with other women. Invariably, Yemyem would get back to her sister, Eghonghon, and intimate her of the unsavory tales.
The chain of infidelity-based allegations and counter-allegations, soon became the patterns of marital lifestyles of the Udofia and Sanomi families for many years. But Igho and Eghonghon were the worse victims, for it began to have a devastating effect on their marriage.
Sources disclosed that Sanomi, who was very much aware of AK47’s legendary voracious appetite for beautiful ladies, behaved like a well-bred gentleman and refused to regale his wife and sister-in-law with his own tales.
Sources further disclosed that the rift between AK47 and Sanomi became more severe when AK47 accused his wife’s elder brother, Aletor Adoghe, who worked for him, of embezzling his money, which ran into several millions of dollars. But Adoghe was reported to have vehemently refused to be tagged a fraud, and instead fired back at AK47, and accused him of wasting his money on society ladies who are older than him. Subsequently, a furious AK47 threw him out of his company. But Adoghe was said to have found sympathy in Sanomi, his other younger sister’s husband, who re-absorbed him into his business empire.
It was in the course of working for Sanomi that Adoghe realized that he was no where close to the ogre image AK47 had painted of him to his sisters. Thus, he felt obligated to let Sanomi know how he had been verbally decapacitated by his estranged brother-in-law. Adoghe was alleged to have also informed his elder sister, Yemyem of her husband’s alleged affairs with other women. Predictably, this staccato of revelations resulted in a storm in the Udofias’ home. Yemyem was said to have moved out and called it quit with the marriage. Seeing that his world was crumbling, AK47 made a quick move to pacify his wife and later persuaded her to move back home.
Unfortunately for the Sanomis, things had fallen apart at this juncture, and the damage caused by AK47’s alleged ignoble role had gone beyond repair. Eghonghon moved out of their matrimonial home and sued for divorce.
Pained and crushed by the sad turn of event in her son’s marital life, Sanomi’s mother, Chief Mabel Iyabo Sanomi, the Yeye Jemo of Isotun-Ijesha, allegedly called AK47 on the phone, and literarily bathed him with curses. The old woman was said to have felt sad that AK47, who at 49, was the oldest among the four, could not apply wisdom in protecting his marriage and that of her son, Sanomi, 43.
Currently, Sanomi is back to being a bachelor, but he’s not in any way, relishing this status. His friends and loved ones cannot stop blaming AK47 for orchestrating the plot which resulted in the crashed marriage between Igho and Eghonghon Sanomi.
