Arewa, Useh Communities Hail Obaseki’s Devt Strides, Inclusive Governance
The Arewa Community in Edo State has commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for his administration’s developmental strides across the state especially in critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, among others.
Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Arewa Community in Edo, Abdullahi Ibrahim, who led the other members of the group on a courtesy visit at the Government House in Benin City, commended the governor for putting the people at the forefront of his government’s policies and programmes.
Reaffirming the group’s support towards the realization of the governor’s Making Edo Great (MEGA) Agenda, Ibrahim said Obaseki’s style of inclusive governance has ensured that development gets to every part of the state.
“We shall continue to offer our constructive advice to ensure the state remains in peace and unity. We will ensure we advise our people who are into cattle rearing not to be involved in farmers-herders clashes,” he noted.
On his part, Obaseki commended the Arewa Community for their support in ensuring the state enjoys peace and unity.
Obaseki, represented by his Chief of Staff, Osaigbovo Iyoha noted, “I urge you to continue to support and collaborate with this administration for continuous development in the State.”
The governor further urged the group to mobilize their people and ensure they register in the ongoing registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enable them to have the right to vote in any election in the State.
Also, the leadership of the Useh Community led by the Edigin N’ Yan Useh, Chief Ekpen Edigin, hailed the governor’s sustained investment in education and revamp of Useh Primary School.
