Ambode’s Deputy, Adebule Beats Obanikoro, Opeifa To Emerge APC Lagos West Senatorial Candidate

The All progressives Congress (APC), Lagos West Senatorial District primary election held today at Agege Stadium, Lagos was peaceful, free, fair and devoid of any squabbles.

The party has again shown a distinct example to be emulated by other political parties as the exercise was duly organized with a sincere progressive accomplishment.

Accreditation of the delegates across the Ten (10) local governments was done with a total number of Five hundred and fifty-seven (557) delegates.

The aspirants in the race are former deputy governor of Lagos State under Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Dr (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule, former Senator and Minister of State, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and former Commissioner for Transportation in the state, Mr Kayode Opeifa

After the voting exercise, the result derived are as follows:

Mr Kayode Opeifa – 04 votes

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro – 119 votes

Dr (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule – 424 votes

Invalid votes:10

Mr Kayode Opeifa and Dr (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule at the venue

As the above result was declared by the party’s Returning Officer, Distinguished Dr. (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule* was declared the winner and pronounced as the Flagbearer of the party for APC in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
