Agege 2017: APC Leaders, Councillorship Aspirants Endorse Egunjobi
The ambition of the All Progressives Congress chairmanship aspirant for Agege Local Government, Alhaji Ganiu Egunjobi, in the forthcoming elections in the state, has received electoral boost with the endorsement of his candidature by the who-is-who in the council area.
He was endorsed by party leaders and councillorship aspirants in the local government on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2017 during his chairmanship campaign flag off ceremony held at Onilude Street, Atobaje, Agege recently.
Addressing the crowd that converged at the venue of his endorsement, Egunjobi reiterates his commitment to positively turn the fortune of Agege around.
His words,”my manifesto is full of people oriented programs. Youth empowerment is one of my major priority. This time around, we are looking forward to better the lives of our people.
An APC chieftain in the vicinity, Mr Richard Oshungboye who has also thrown his weight behind the aspiration of Egunjobi, described him as a pure grassroot politician who is familiar with the nooks and crannies of the council area.
The Special Adviser on Budget and planning to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly said,“Egunjobi is our brother, a grassroot politician who knows all the nooks and crannies of this local government and beyond. All these and more are the reasons am supporting him. He knows what we want. We all have heard his impressive manifesto.
Oshungboye enjoined all other candidates to support him so as to take the council to a greater height.
Another politician in the council area, Mr Sola Osolana said the party and all aspirants brainstorm on who is qualified to be the chairman and they all decided to support Egunjobi.
Party leaders at the flag off ceremony are Chief (Mrs) Bola Brito; Chief Biodun Ogundimu a.k.a Baala Agege; Honourable Haruna Yussuf a.k.a Ilerika; Alhaja Salam Amina, other LG Excos and Sole Administrator of Agege, Mr Gbenga Abiola.
Others are seven councillorship aspirants in his team Ward A – Joel Olabode Adigun; Ward B – Opeyemi Beckley; Ward C – Ologele Adams; Ward D – Saliu Olanrewaju Jeleel; Ward E – Kabir Odejobi; Ward F – Muyideen Kolawole Anjgbajumo; and Ward G – Adebayo Famade.
