Manchester United Bore Draw Sends Real Sociedad Out Of Europa League

Real Sociedad saved some face on Thursday evening as they left Old Trafford with a scoreless draw against Manchester United.
The English side had thumped La Real 4-0 in Turin in the first leg, meaning that the return fixture was never likely to be any more than a formality.
Things might have been made more interesting had Mikel Oyarzabal not fluffed his lines from the penalty spot early on, with the Spaniards awarded a spot kick after Daniel James brought down Andoni Gorosabel.
United had chances of their own though. Bruno Fernandes hit the crossbar, and James had a header well saved by Alex Remiro.
The Basques hit the crossbar themselves in the second half, while Manchester United had a Axel Tuanzebe goal chalked off for a foul in the box.
