West Ham Return To Winning Ways By Thrashing Watford
West Ham United got back to winning ways on Tuesday afternoon, ending their five-match winless run by thrashing Watford 4-1 at Vicarage Road. Although Emmanuel Dennis gave the Hornets an early lead, goals from Tomas Soucek, Said Benrahma, Mark Noble and Nikola Vlasic saw the three points go back with the Hammers.
But, West Ham’s response was good and they deservedly pulled level before the half hour mark as Soucek burst forward from midfield, collected the ball and finished well. Just minutes later, the visitors were ahead and it was Benrahma who turned it in, after good work from Michail Antonio.
Mark Noble converted a penalty just before the hour mark to make it a comfortable lead, while Vlasic came off the bench to add a fourth in stoppage time, making it a positive end to an incredible 2021 for West Ham.
