UI VC Race: Process Suspended Over Selection Crisis
The race to the appointment of the 13th Vice-Chancellor of the nation’s premier university, University of Ibadan has taken a new turn as staff protested the alleged imposition of a VC on them.

Worldtopnewsng.com gathered that the Council has suspended the process following the crisis rocking the selection of next VC and the institution now on a total lockdown.
The 5-man panel headed by NDE Joshua Waklek has shortlisted Prof. Kayode Adebowale, Prof. Ademowo, Prof. Farombi, Prof. Abideen Aderinto, Prof. Salami and Prof. Mimiko for the final round of the process.
Other members of the panel include Sir Ben Okoronkwo, representative of Minister of Education, Dr. (Ms.) Uchena Uba, Prof. Ezekiel Ayoola and Prof. Peter Olapegba

According to a statement made available to worldtopnewsng.com, the council will reconvene Friday.
