Wycombe Wanderers took the lead against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, but they Sky Blues came from behind to register a comfortable 6-1 victory and progress to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.

Pep Guardiola named as many as five debutants in Manchester City’s starting line-up as he opted to rest several starters ahead of their upcoming matches against Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

Brandon Hanlan broke the deadlock for the visitors 22 minutes into the match, but Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden netted one goal each to turn the game around and practically put it to bed before the break.

Ferran Torres was teed up by Foden in the second half and tapped the ball into an empty net to score Manchester City’s fourth in the game, while Mahrez made it 5-1 with a great finish and youngster Cole Palmer came off the bench to put the icing on the cake.
