Neymar’s injury continues to dominate the football headlines, and with only eight days to go until Paris Saint-Germain host Real Madrid, his presence in the game would appear unlikely.
The Brazilian was injured in the Ligue 1 match against Marseille, spraining his ankle.
Medical tests on Monday will determine the seriousness of it, but PSG’s talisman posted an image of his damaged ankle completely bandaged and immobilised on his social networks.
Unai Emery, who received criticism from the fans of the French team for not having changed Neymar before, since the game was already 3-0 when the Brazilian was injured, has referred to the first tests.
“It is just a twist, but we will do more tests,” he said.
“He is cautious, but we must be optimistic, and if I have to say now if he will be able to play against Real Madrid, I would say yes.”
