Following the 14 days ultimatum given to Traders at the Alaba Rago Market, Ojo, Lagos, His Highness, Alh. (Dr) Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos and Chairman Council of Fulani Chiefs in South West has intervened and waded into the agitating issue, having met and discussed with Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu.

Recall, Lagos State Government had issued a warning to the traders to vacate the ancient market for developers to move in and commence construction work as part of his megacity plans.

Bambado pleaded on behalf of the traders that the government should extend the quit notice served earlier.

Considering the plea, Sanwo-Olu accepted the Fulani leader’s plea, he reversed its earlier pronouncement and allow the traders to continue with their legitimate business in the market pending a formal agreement and development.

Against this backdrop, Bambado called on the traders and business entrepreneurs in the market to remain calm and maintain a law-abiding environment free from delinquent activities.
