Dozens of officers were summoned to Madrid’s Plaza Mayor on Tuesday evening to disperse some drunken, loud Leicester fans who were deemed to be causing a disturbance in the city centre, with force used to move on one group.
Various witnesses described the scene as a ‘pitch battle’ between the two, with tensions getting high ahead of arguably the biggest match in the Premier League club’s recent history.
