Real Madrid Surpass 100 Million Followers On Instagram
Even with international football taking centre stage, with the European Championship and Copa America underway, Real Madrid continue to grow.
This time, their growth is in the world of social media, where Real Madrid have become the first sporting institution to reach 100 million Instagram followers. They’re edging Barcelona’s 97.7 million followers. The club marked the occasion with a video posted to social media.
Los Blancos also have 37.6 million Twitter followers and 111 million Facebook users. In August 2017, they became the first sporting institution to pass 100 million followers on Facebook as well.
“This latest milestone confirms our worldwide appeal and the continuous growth and popularity of our club,” Real Madrid said.
“We thank you for your loyalty and affection. Real Madrid continue to work on our digital transformation that allows us to transmit the image and values of our club to all our fans.”
