Permanent Solution To ASUU Crisis Is Inevitable – Ahmadiyya Nigeria Leaders
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Elders group, (Majlis Ansarullah) Nigeria, Communique has called on the Nigerian Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Nigeria to finding a lasting solutions to the incessant educational strikes in the education sector of the country.
This call was made as part of the communique issued and signed by the Sadr (Head), Engr. Abdul Waheed Adeoye, and Dr. Qasim Akinreti, of the organization Editorial Board, at the 42nd Annual National Ijtema (Conference) of the Majlis Ansarullah, held at Al-Azhar International College Zango – Daji, Lokoja, Kogi state.
According to the Ahmadiyya elders, the strike has had serious negative impact on the social – economic development of the country and domineer the states of Highercare education in Nigeria amount the comity of nations.
The Islamic elders group equally regretted the poor state of the Nigeria roads which continually becoming death traps and impacting negatively on transportation business, it noted that sincere the rail services are yet to effective as means of transportation, there are too much pressures on the Nigerian roads.
Corruption, According to the Majlis Ansarullah has destroyed the fabric of the country and gradually brought Nigeria to her knees, hence the current efforts of the Buhari administration to address the issues of corruption are applauded and should be supported.
It is the view of the Ahmadiyya Muslim elders that the federal Government should assist the states and local governments in payment of Workers salaries, the prompt payment of retires and other emoluments.
In line with the theme of the elders conference in Lokoja, it was the opinion of the elders that every Nigerian should embrace and practice peace, exemplified in the clarion call of the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, who emphasised that the ultimate aim of achieving progress and development is peace across the world.
The elders group then enjoined all its members to continue to demonstrate the moral and spiritual trainings learning within the Ahmadiyya Community.
