Fire Guts Oba Of Lagos Palace

A portion of the palace of Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos on Friday afternoon gutted fire.

The fire incident was said to have started around 1pm from a store in the palace where traditional attires were kept.

Some of the items that got burnt in the fire incident include beads, horsetails, clothes and shoes, said a source close to the palace who craved anonymity.

An emergency official who claimed the fire have been put off confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

The king’s palace is located in Iga Iduganran area of Lagos Island.
