Obaseki Mourns Death Of Pa Ayomike, Wife, clCharges Police To Apprehend Killers
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has condemned the murder of Pa Joshua Ayomike and his wife, Chichi, in their Warri home, Delta State.
The governor, who was heartbroken by the news of the incident, charged the Nigeria Police Force, to unmask the killers of the couple and ensure that justice is done in the case.
According to him, “I received the news of the murder of Pa Joseph Ayomike and his wife, Chichi, in their Warri home, Delta State, with very heavy heart.
“With the details of the circumstances that led to their gruesome killing still sketchy, I call on the Nigeria Police Force to thoroughly investigate the extremely puzzling
event and ensure that the culprits are brought to book.”
The governor extolled the contribution of Pa Ayomike to the Arts, noting, “Pa Ayomike, a consummate patron of the Arts, contributed immensely to the development of choral music in Nigeria. He was passionate about classical music, espousing the beauty, panache and symphony that animate life and living.
“He will be remembered for his intriguing personality and commitment to the development of his local community.
“I commiserate with the Ayomike family, friends, associates and well-wishers of Pa Ayomike and pray that God will grant all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
