Neymar Scores In PSG Debut

Paris Saint-Germain eased to 3-0 victory away at Guingamp on Sunday evening, with world-record signing Neymar netting a late third to mark his first outing with his new side.

With the transfer documents not submitted in time for the Brazilian to debut at home to Amiens last weekend, he finally made his much-anticipated debut at the Stade Municipal de Roudourou.

It did, however, take some time for the capital city side to get going and the scoreboard remained unmoved at the half-time break.

Guingamp’s Jordan Ikoko turned into his own net seven minutes after the restart and there was no looking back from there, with PSG doubling their lead in the 62nd minute when Neymar’s defence-splitting pass found Edinson Cavani, who fired home from the edge of the area.

Cavani returned the favour with eight minutes remaining to allow Neymar a simple finish from the edge of the six-yard box and a debut goal.
