Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT has been lauded for instituting ground breaking projects and programmes which have impacted immensely on the welfare of Muslims and image of Islam worldwide.
The remark was made by the renowned erudite Islamic preacher, Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello at the inauguration of the new executive of the society which held at the Lagos State Secretariat Mosque, Alausa – Ikeja, Lagos last weekend.
In line with the provision of the constitution of the Society, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Alhaji AbdulLateef Wale Olasupo supported by the National Council of Elders’ Chairman, Alhaji Yunus Olalekan Soliu inaugurated the 25 member National Executive Council of the Society.
Earlier, the BOT Chairman, and his counterpart in the Council of Elders had commended the effort and commitment of the immediate past NEC stating that the out gone leadership would be remembered for its creativity, maturity and exemplary leadership.
While inaugurating the new team, the Chairman BOT charged the new council members to raise the bar of excellence in NASFAT through their dedication, sacrifice, commitment and fear of Allah.
The highlight of the event was the handing over of the official flag of office of the Society to the inaugurated President, Engr. Kamil Yomi Bolarinwa by Alhaji Bello.
In his spiritual diet at the event, Alhaji Bello charged the new council to be guided by the fear of Allah in the administration of the affairs of the Society and prayed for a successful and achievable tenure.
Closely followed by this, were blessings offered to the new executive by the Ag. Chief Missioner of the Society, Alhaji Mahroof AbdulAzeez Onike who congratulated the out gone NEC for recording a successful tenure and sought Allah’s favours and blessings for their steadfastness.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of the new NEC, the President, Engr. Bolarinwa acknowledged the landmark achievements of his predecessors such as Fountain University, being the first University owned by any Islamic organisation in the country, NASFAT Islamic Center, Aseese and others.
He used the occasion to assure members of his team’s commitment, loyalty and dedication towards making NASFAT a model for other Islamic societies.
He however urged members to remain un-waivered and committed even in the face of challenges, to the core values and principles of NASFAT which has made it to carve a unique image for itself.
Engr. Bolarinwa also charged the Mission Board to lead members to the accepted ways of Allah while he also enjoined public support towards the lofty programmes of the Society.
The well attended inauguration event was graced by the former Grand Khaadi of Kwara State, Alh. Oloruntoyin, NASFAT Zonal Leadership from Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara and Abuja.
The newly inaugurated National Executive Council will run the affairs of the Society for the next two years 2017 – 2019.
