Muslims Must Do More Than Just ‘Condemns Terror Attacks’, Sajid Javid Says
A GROUP of 130 Imams and religious leaders have refused to perform the traditional Islamic funeral prayer for the London Bridge attackers.
“In light of other such ethical principles which are quintessential to Islam, we will not perform the traditional Islamic funeral prayer for the perpetrators and we also urge fellow Imams and religious authorities to withdraw such a privilege”, said the council in the statement.
Rafiq Hayat, national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK, said: “Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK unequivocally condemns in the strongest possible terms Saturday’s terrorist attack in London”.

If we want to continue to live in an open, democratic society that values freedom and civil liberties, we must accept that we can never be 100 per cent safe, but that doesn’t mean we do nothing. “This is because such indefensible actions are completely at odds with the lofty teachings of Islam”.
The men then leapt out and randomly stabbed passers-by in London’s Borough Market area. Seven people died and dozens more were injured.
It comes as Prime Minister Theresa May issued a statement on the attack saying “enough is enough” after the country suffered the third terror attack in three months. London’s police chief has claimed that the extremists have been identified, but hasn’t released their names.
So far Scotland Yard have named Khuram Butt and Rachid Redouane, both from from Barking, east London, as two of the trio shot dead just eight minutes after they began their killing spree, which started when they mowed down pedestrians before leaping out of the vehicle and stabbing people in a popular night-life district.

The terrorist organization, Islamic State, has claimed that a “detachment” of its fighters were responsible for the attack.
The council issued a statement Monday with over one hundred signatories, condemning the attack that killed seven and wounding 48, the latest in a wave of terror to hit the United Kingdom in recent months.

“We need to work with allied, democratic governments to reach worldwide agreements that regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremism and terrorist planning”, she said.
