Messiah FC Thrash Lion Heart In Lagos Ahead Of NLO Season

Ahead of the new Nigeria Nationwide League (NLO) season, outstanding Lagos-based football club, Messiah FC has continued their preparations for the season with an emphatic 4-1 win over Lion Heart FC in a preseason match.

Lion Heart FC grabbed the lead from the penalty spot after the restart Deji Alo restored parity for Messiah in the second half with a glancing header.

Tunde Baruwa scored the second goal after a beautiful team play from the centre half.

Abdulrahman Amoo added the third goal to complete a all-round superb performance. He completed his brace to make it 4-1 after a goalkeeping error.

During the post-match press conference, Dosu Davies, Messiah FC head coach, reiterated that the team is striving towards improvement as preparation for the new continues.

“I am happy with the performance but there’s still a lot of work to be done to be in shape for the new NLO season.”

Messiah FC talisman, Amoo who is the man of the match expressed his delight after playing a starring role for Messiah FC against Lion Heart FC.

“I am glad we won it shows that we have been working hard to be ready to achieve our objectives when the NLO season starts”.

The NLO season is expected to start anytime soon, the new season was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic that’s ravaging the world.

A few days ago, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) 1st Vice-President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, commissioned the renovated NLO office in Abuja.
